What is Instagram impression & Reach Defined

Instagram is essentially a camera smartphone app with a social community built behind it for sharing images. More than 1 billion people use Instagram every month, and over five million businesses use Instagram to tell their stories visually, connect with their fans, and build their brand. With so many users on Instagram, it is critical for you to make sense of your data in Instagram.

What is Instagram Insights?

There are two kinds of profiles on Instagram, the business one and the personal one.

If you get one business account, then you have the Instagram analytics to make sense of your account performing. It allows you to find out how many impressions you’ve got, your reach, your follower demographics and so much more.

What are Instagram impressions?

Impressions track the number of times your content (including stories and posts) is shown to users on the platform.

These integrated programs can also serve as scheduling apps that assist with publishing and monitoring comments and hashtags. It means that when someone scrolls through your Instagram then you get one impression. And if the same person scrolls past your post twice, that's two impressions — but only one "reach," which tracks uniques.

Difference between Impression, Reach and Engagement

Impression is often confused with reach (more on that in a minute!). and both are important metrics for measuring the performance of posts and ads!

Reach refers to the number of unique users who saw your content.

If you find out that your reach is lower than your impression, it will be a good thing. it’s a sign that your audience is viewing your content multiple times. With each view, your Instagram impressions will go up.

In some cases, it's more necessary to your business to focus on cultivating better brand awareness among the audience you already have. Instagram Impressions can be a valuable KPI when you want to focus on increasing awareness among your potential clients.

Engagement, on the other hand, refers to any time someone (including you) interacts with your content.
